MANILA, Philippines – COL Financial Group Inc. (COL) reports its financial results after three quarters and registers a record-breaking 44.3 percent jump in its revenues.
The consolidated revenues of COL amounted to P258.6 million, which is greatly contributed by its higher transactions volume. Continued expansion of its customer base also played a part in COL’s success.
The company’s third quarter recurring profits are also on a record high. The record increased by 66 percent at P133.7 million. Headline returns increased promptly at 135.3 percent. Last year, the revenues in third quarter were leveled by P23.7 million one-off tax expenses. The 40.2 percent mark was reached by return on average equity (ROE).
With its robust third quarter, the year to date results of COL generally boosted by 12.8 percent at P658.7 million. The recurring net income increased by 17.3 percent at P316.9 million. The returns during the past three quarters have already exceeded recurring profits for the entire 2015 at P286.4 million.
The commission profit during the third quarter of the year jumped to P197.6 million, a 64.3 percent increase. The same period also exhibited an 11.3 increase in growth relative to Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) turnover rate. The wider customer base of COL contributed in its higher yields from commissions.
There are over 195,000 accounts handled by the company as of third quarter end. The management also added nearly 33,000 accounts for the three-quarter period. During the same time, the client equity increased from P48.6 billion to P60 billion against last year record.
For the first nine months of the year, the market share of the company in PSE increased to 12.1 percent and 5.9 percent. The former new record high is for local transactions value. The latter is a record for total transactions rate.
From number eight, the value trading rank of the company climbed to number five. In terms of transaction volume ranking, it maintained its leading position. Transactions volume obtained 21.5 percent of total transactions portion.
