MANILA, Philippines – PayMaya, PLDT Inc.’s digital financial services arm, teamed up with leader of international payments, Paypal, in providing convenience to the country’s freelancers and online businesses.
The partnership centers on providing easy and fast PayPal funds withdrawal. Filipinos who get their payments through their PayPal accounts can link their accounts to PayMaya. Account holders will enjoy 80 percent off on withdrawal fee through PayPal until December 21.
Many freelancers and online businesses would be able to rely on PayPal, which has a reach of over 200 countries worldwide. Receiving overseas transactions’ payments will be more manageable.
PayMaya Philippines and Voyager Innovations Inc. President and CEO, Orlando Vea, stated that the agreement will not just assist Filipinos to get their funds easily. It will also give them an opportunity to draw advantages from digital applications.
PayPal General Manager for Southeast Asia, Rahul Shinghai, added that the deal streamlines the firm’s goal of making transfers and management of finances easily via the internet. Shinghai stated that the collaboration will keep business moving since downtime on accessing funds and cash flow will be avoided.
The requirement of traveling to a bank, lining up, filling up forms, or even securing a minimum initial deposit will now be eliminated. The deal now allows Filipinos to withdraw from the prepaid online payment app.
To access the amazing online payment features, you need to download the PayMaya app. The app is available in App Store and Google Play. Afterwards, you will be given with Visa card, which is accessible virtually.
On the PayPal website, you can link your prepaid online payment account by choosing the option “Link a Card”. Just enter necessary information to finish setting up.
You can withdraw funds at any Bancnet Automated Teller Machine (ATM) through the use of your virtual Visa card.
Furthermore, online and local store shopping with the use of the card is applicable.
