I understand that unfamiliarity in a new system is typical when things change for the better.
The Stock Signals Philippines was overhauled completely. We no longer provide a ready-made list of recommended stocks. While this may not be the news you are expecting to hear, the direction where we want to take you is the path for growth, responsible, and data-driven approach to stock trading and investing.
Our new system automates the technical and fundamental analyses, through our Stock Monitoring System, so you can select the stocks that suit these three factors:
- your financial goals
- your investment horizon
- your risk tolerance
Ready-Made Stock Recommendations Are Not Customized for You
A ready-made list of recommended stocks suits no one but the person who made them. Why? This individual arrived at that list based on his or her financial goals, investment horizon, and risk tolerance – not yours.
Trading and investing is a personal thing. I discourage mirroring someone else’s portfolio or decision when it comes to stock trading or investing. Why would you decide based on someone else’s financial goals, investment horizon, and risk tolerance when you know that these three factors are unique to every person? These three factors are like the human DNA. Not one of us has the same DNA.
Why the Trade Alerts and Investors Picks Tables Are No More
We used to have the Investors Picks and Trade Alerts tables with a reminder that said, “Decide based on your financial goals, investment horizon, and risk tolerance.” However, we’ve noticed that there’s an alarming percentage of people who blindly bought whatever stocks were in the list without respecting their versions of those three factors.
We don’t want to inculcate to anyone the “buy or sell whatever, blame the provider later” kind of psychology. We know that when reality did not match expectations, people react as though they did not read the “Decide based on your financial goals, investment horizon, and risk tolerance” reminder.
What Inspired Us to Start the Change?
It is not the avoidance of getting blamed that inspired us to overhaul the Stock Signals Philippines. We are not trying to play safe. Our renewed purpose inspired us. Our goal is to make sure that there is discipline in your trade and investment decisions, organized with your trade and investment setups, and knowledgeable with why you do what you do and how you do it.
Chew these slowly.
- why you do
- what you do
- how you do it
Why did you choose to trade or invest in the Philippine Stock Exchange? You need our help if you need 5 to 10 seconds while looking at the ceiling, just to think of an answer for that could make sense.
What do you need to check to make a confident investment decision based on your financial goals, investment horizon, and risk tolerance? This sentence is not a tongue-twisting question, but it is where most people stutter. No. Please. No. Don’t say, “I go to Facebook to check what people are buying or selling. I copy.”
How do you mix and match the news, fundamental analysis, and technical analysis to come up with a data-driven decision? Someone said, “Sir, buy the stock – whatever stock it is – when the RSI is equal to or below 20.” Could someone help me find the meme of Ang Probinsyano’s Onyok while he’s doing the face-palm expression of, “Hay, naku”?
Being Busy Is an Excuse to Rely on Stock Recos. Is It?
I don’t subscribe to the idea that I will rely on a ready-made list of stock recommendations just because I am busy. I am an active person. If you know someone who sells extra hours per day, please refer him or her to me. I’m interested in buying 24 more hours so I could get 48 hours in a day.
Despite my busy schedule, how did I manage to reach this level where I can make a certain investment decision for myself for as long as I have visibility on the company’s latest financial statements and access to a charting tool? Well, investing for my future and family is one of my priorities. The operating word is “priorities”.
Managing Priorities: Solution to Doing Important Matters While Busy
Manage your priorities. Weed out non-priorities in your life so you can create a space for investing. Is investing one of your priorities? I suppose it is because you’ve reached this part of my write-up already.
One of the things I did make more time for learning is giving up TV. It’s been years that I don’t watch TV. By eliminating things I can live without, I was able to make more time for what’s more valuable.
What are those things-that-you-can-live-without that you can start to replace with better habits?
What not-so-good things, in your busy life, are you willing to give up so you can allow us to teach you how to interpret what you see on our Stock Ranking System (automated technical and fundamental analyses)?
Stock Ranking System + Webinar Courses = Better You
Yes, we will conduct live webinars for the Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced Courses (see our courses here) so we can give a 360-degree coverage on the why, what, and how in our company’s purpose. We will be uploading pre-recorded videos for the Intermediate and Advanced Courses for the next two weeks. After which, we will start scheduling live webinars for our current client base so they can ask questions after the live webinar.
The PURPOSE (the equivalent of a Mission Statement) that is written on the website of the Stock Signals Philippines mirrors my discipline, mindset, and passion for learning. I am not the best equity analyst in the world, but I can make an independent, data-driven, and a positive investment decision for myself on my own. I want to replicate myself in you.
Don’t you want to wake up one day that all you need are the company’s latest financial statements and access to a charting tool and you can make an intelligent investment decision for yourself without second-guessing or doubting yourself?
